graphycs is rebuilding corporate education from the ground up. We're replacing the fragmented mess of outdated LMS tools, third-party content providers, and manual course builders with one modern platform that does it all - AI-powered course generation, built-in compliance content, and the best interface in the market. We're early, we're moving fast, and we just closed our first enterprise customer.

The Role

As our Founding AI Engineer, you’ll be one of the earliest technical hires and a core part of how we build the product. You’ll work directly with the founders, own the AI layer across the platform, and help define how intelligence gets embedded into everything we ship. This isn’t a research-only or support role - you’ll have real influence over architecture, product decisions, and how we turn AI into a genuine product advantage.

What You'll Do

• Own and build the generative AI foundation of the platform - from AI-powered course and video generation to smart quiz systems and a powerful AI assistant

• Help pioneer a modern alternative to outdated SCORM-based learning formats

• Build AI-powered workflows for richer, more dynamic learning content - including video editing directly in the platform

• Design, ship, and iterate on generative AI-powered product features end to end

• Build robust backend services and pipelines for generation, transformation, orchestration, evaluation, and monitoring

• Work closely with the founders and directly influence the product roadmap

• Make pragmatic technical decisions around output quality, speed, cost, and scalability

• Help define engineering standards and best practices for AI development as the team grows

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering (generative AI experience a strong plus), ML engineering, or related roles

• Strong hands-on experience building generative AI-powered products and features in production

• Experience working with modern generative AI systems across text, media, or multimodal workflows

• Strong proficiency in Python for backend and AI workstreams

• Ability to build production-grade systems, not just prototypes

• Someone who’s comfortable with ambiguity and moves fast without breaking things

• Strong product instinct and the ability to translate messy problems into elegant solutions

• Prior experience at an early-stage startup is a strong plus - you know what “founding” actually means
